Fans from all over the world got the chance to be introduced to the newest hero and it opened up a whole new side for the MCU to play in. Then as Phase 3 hits, we will be introduced to the mystical corner of this universe with Doctor Strange and continue to explore the cosmic side.

Marvel Weekly News #33
Final Age of Ultron Trailer
Now that we are under three weeks from the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Marvel decided to release the final trailer for the highly anticipated sequel. The trailer shows some new footage but you can watch it below!
Grillo Coming to Civil War
Last time we saw Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo), he was badly injured after being inside a collapsing building. Grillo and the Russo brothers have teased what may be ahead for the character before but Grillo seemed to confirm his involvement in Captain America: Civil War early this week. Read more about Grillo returning here.
Infinity War Gets Directors and Writers
After months of rumors and speculation, Marvel finally made the hiring of the Joe and Anthony Russo to direct Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2 official. This comes a few weeks after Badass Digest broke the news that the duo had agreed to direct and they are back again this week to announce the writers. Devin Faraci broke the news that Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will write the third and fourth Avengers movies. Markus and McFeely have previously written Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Thor: The Dark World.
No End Credit Scene for Age of Ultron
Post credit scenes have become a staple of the MCU and fans have expected them to both make them laugh but also show a piece of what is to come. Avengers featured the reveal of Thanos and then the infamous shawarma scene. While talking to EW, Whedon said that Avengers: Age of Ultron will only have one scene. It appears we will get one that foreshadows what is to come in the future but that there will not be a funny one to send the crowd out on.
Agents of SHIELD EP 16
Agents of SHIELD started to delve in to the Inhuman rituals and history this past week. It also featured the return of a surprise character from season 1. Read our full review of "Afterlife" here.
Hudson in Running for T'Chaka
Marvel announced last year that they were finally bringing Black Panther into the MCU. They also announced that Chadwick Boseman would be T'Challa and debut in Captain America: Civil War. It appears that they are now closing in on finding his father, T'Chaka. Elmayimbe of Latino-Review revealed that actor Ernie Hudson is circling the role.
New Age of Ultron Banner
EW published their summer preview magazine and there are four different covers. The covers combined together to form the above banner.
Vision Solo Poster
Fans were disappointing when it seemed that we would not be getting a solo poster for the Vision after getting them for the rest of the main cast in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thankfully, Marvel released a solo poster for the mysterious Vision, played by Paul Bettany, and it is spectacular.
Agents of SHIELD Spinoff in the Works
Even though the ratings are not as high as Marvel would like, Agents of SHIELD has been a big success during the second season. Marvel and ABC are so happy with what the show is producing that they are reportedly in the early stages of developing a spinoff. EW dropped the exclusive news late in the week and we developed 5 Ideas for the Agents of SHIELD Spinoff Series.
Official Image of Yellowjacket Released
After Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters, Marvel will turn their attention towards promotion Ant-Man. EW was able to release the first official image of the Yellowjacket suit Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) will wear in the movie. If you look closely, he has a very small Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) leaping towards him!
Early Age of Ultron Reactions
Marvel let select members of the media see Avengers: Age of Ultron and the early reactions have been very positive across Twitter. We have gathered reactions from various people across the web and compiled them all here.
Daredevil Hits Netflix
Marvel and Netflix launched their brand new partnership yesterday with Daredevil debuting across the world simultaneously. Daredevil is darker and more violent than anything we have seen in the MCU and it isn't even close. We will have a full review up soon but we are very excited about where Marvel can go from here.
Feige Confirms High School Peter Parker for Reboot
Just as I was finishing writing this, Collider dropped some cool news from their recent interview with Kevin Feige. Feige was asked about their ideal Spider-Man and said, "In terms of the age of an actor we’ll eventually to cast, I don’t know. In terms of the age of what we believe Peter Parker is, I’d say 15-16 is right.” This should end the debate among fans of which Spider-Man we will see in the MCU for the next 10+ years.

Early Reactions to Avengers: Age of Ultron Pour In
Marvel has started to unveil their new baby, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the early reactions have started surfacing. The main cast got their own private screening tonight and Marvel has invited select media members to see the movie at various locations as well.
The odd thing is that Marvel is not requiring people to see the movie to be under an embargo about what they did or did not see. That means there could be some spoilers coming out but you will not find those here.
To help you with your quest to find out how people feel about the movie, I've gone ahead and gathered a bunch of reactions via Twitter. Check them out below!
Whedon stuffs Avengers Age of Ultron with an impossible amount of great geekiness. Sometimes it feels like too much, but he pulls it off!
— Kevin P. Sullivan (@KPSull) April 10, 2015
Whedon's love of Scarlet Witch and his guilt for Hawkeye's Avengers role stand out. Both are fantastic!
— Kevin P. Sullivan (@KPSull) April 10, 2015
Just saw AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. Soooooooo many characters and soooooo much going on, I can't believe it's coherent, let alone so fun.
— Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) April 10, 2015
And out of all the AGE OF ULTRON chaos, somehow Hawkeye gets the best role in the movie. AND the best line of the movie, maybe the series.
— Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) April 10, 2015
One more: Spader's Ultron so much more snarky than I thought he would be. So, yeah, he's basically James Spader.
— Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) April 10, 2015
Avengers: Age of Oh Yeahhhhh It's Good!
— Christopher Rosen (@chrisjrosen) April 10, 2015
Avengers 2 is both an amazing sequel and a fantastic setup for the rest of the MCU. So nerdy in the best possible way.
— Mike Sampson (@mjsamps) April 10, 2015
Also, the usual Avengers supporting players stand out this time. Black Widow kicks ass and Hawkeye has the best lines.
— Mike Sampson (@mjsamps) April 10, 2015
#AvengersAgeOfUltron is darker, weirder and more emotional than the original. It's also the thrill ride to beat this summer.
— Drew Taylor (@DrewTailored) April 10, 2015
.@Avengers #AgeOfUltron might be the most true to the comic movie ever. So many images taken right off the page that made me faint with joy.
— Alex Zalben (@azalben) April 10, 2015
No spoilers, but biggest surprises: Thor is hilarious and Scarlet Witch kicks so much ass. Rest of the #Avengers ain't too shabby, either.
— Alex Zalben (@azalben) April 10, 2015
Can't say much — 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' fires on all cylinders. Intimate. Action-Packed. Big. That finale though... #seeeeecrets
— Superhero News (@SuperheroNewsCB) April 10, 2015
Also, the next 5 years look pretty stellar for the MCU. #AvengersAgeOfUltron
— Superhero News (@SuperheroNewsCB) April 10, 2015
Saw #AvengersAgeOfUltron In terms of popularity of new characters, I predict, in order: Vision, Scarlet Witch then Quicksilver.
— Reed Tucker (@reed_tucker) April 10, 2015
There is one post-credits sequence, as Whedon promised. #AvengersAgeOfUltron
— Reed Tucker (@reed_tucker) April 10, 2015
Oh I saw #AvengersAgeOfUltron last night. As good if not better than pt 1. Definitely funnier. Not as dark as it looks. James Spader for MVP
— Kevin Polowy (@djkevlar) April 11, 2015
Avengers Age of Ultron is so rewarding and fun. It’s pure joy to see this team work together for 2 hours straight.
— Germain Lussier (@GermainLussier) April 11, 2015
After interviews stayed and watched AVENGERS AGE OF ULTRON again. It's even better the 2nd time. Going to make insane $ around the world.
— Steven Weintraub (@colliderfrosty) April 11, 2015
Really want to say more but won't till everyone has a chance to see it. Don't read any spoilers. So much better not knowing
— Steven Weintraub (@colliderfrosty) April 11, 2015
Share your thoughts on Avengers: Age of Ultron in the comments below!I'm really impressed by how fully comic book AGE OF ULTRON is. There's never been a film this comic book-y.

5 Ideas for Agents of SHIELD Spinoff Series
This season has brought Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) into the MCU and just re-introduced Deathlok 2.0 (J. August Richards). The show has also been given the task of introducing the Inhumans as well as recently revealing another faction of SHIELD lead by Roberto Gonzalez (Edward James Olmos).
Today, Entertainment Weekly ran an exclusive story where they reported that Marvel is actively developing a spinoff series based on Agents of SHIELD. The untitled spinoff series is being developed by Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, the executive producer and writer of Agents of SHIELD respectively.
Details on the potential series are sparse at this point but this is what we know so far-
- The series will have its own original pilot
- The spinoff will use elements from the rest of this season to launch
- It will debut in either Fall 2015 or during the winter break of Season 3
- Spinoff has yet to be ordered and it is possible it doesn't happen

Monday, April 6, 2015
Frank Grillo Returning for Civil War
At the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo) was in critical condition following a fight with Falcon (Anthony Mackie). Joe and Anthony Russo have already hinted that the future for Rumlow will probably follow the comics, and teased so much with his final shot on screen.
Now, it appears Frank Grillo has confirmed his appearance in the third installment, Captain America: Civil War. He tweeted this just moments ago-
A #civil-war is on the horizon. And it's gonna be a free for all.The return of Rumlow should feature him transforming into Crossbones, who played a major role in the Civil War story line in the comics.
— frank grillo (@FrankGrillo) April 6, 2015
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016 and stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, and Daniel Brühl.

Marvel Weekly News #32
Marvel found themselves a brand new hit in Guardians of the Galaxy last summer. As with every movie, Marvel had various artists do concept art for the characters in the film. Thomas Nelson updated his library with concept art and it revealed an unused character. The character above is Tantalus, or known as Lord Tantalus in the comics. Even though he was not featured in the movie, it is possible he may appear in two years when Guardians of the Galaxy 2 hits theaters. Check out more of Thomas Nelson's Guardians of the Galaxy concept art thanks to Comicbook.com!
Daredevil Character Posters Released
As we near the debut of Daredevil on Netflix, Marvel and Netflix have been releasing promotional materials for the series for the past few days. Earlier this week, they released character posters for the main characters of the series that combined to make the banner above.
Age of Ultron IMAX Poster
If you are planning on seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron in IMAX 3D on opening day at midnight, then you will be receiving one of the above posters. Marvel is letting us, the fans, vote for which of the above posters we will receive. In order to vote for one of the above posters, you must go on Twitter and use the hashtag for the appropriate poster. Here are the hastags in order of the posters above from left to right- #AvengersLastHope, #AvengersUnite, #UltronUnleashed, and #UltronNoStrings.
Luke Cage Find a Showrunner
With Daredevil almost being ready for release and AKA Jessica Jones in the middle of production, Marvel has started focusing on Luke Cage, which may be the next Netflix exclusive series. They announced this week that Cheo Hodari Coker has signed on to be the executive producer and showrunner for the series. Read more about the announcement here.
Agents of SHIELD EP's 15 and 16
The two factions of SHIELD collided this past week in Agents of SHIELD. In "One Door Closes," the "Real SHIELD" infiltrates Coulson's base as Skye gets help from her other Inhumans. Read our full review of EP 15 here. Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg also spent time early in the week talking about the future of the show at Emerald City Comic-Con, read the highlights here.
Daredevil Trailers
Marvel has released an abundance of new trailers to build up the hype for Daredevil. The first trailer shows the rise of the first defender (which can be seen here) and then Netflix released two more trailers which can be seen here and here. The first two episodes premiered on Thursday and gave the cast the opportunity to talk about the show. Read the highlights from the interviews here.
Age of Ultron Adds Two Mystery Females
The premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron is quickly approaching and that means some more information has started to become available. They sent out a press tip sheet that revealed two new cast members. Julie Delpy and Linda Cardellini. This set the internet on fire with speculation that one of them could be Carol Danvers. Superhero News went on record saying Cardellini is not a superhero and just a small supporting role. Then, El Mayimbe of Latino-Review said that one these two ladies has ties to Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) but that he didn't want to spoil a surprise for the fans.
Daredevil Yet to Be Called For Civil War
After Ultron wrecks the MCU, we will get Ant-Man before what should be another game changing film in Captain America: Civil War. We already know that Iron Man, Cap, Black Widow, Falcon, Winter Soldier, and probably Hawkeye and Crossbones will appear but there will certainly be more. Charlie Cox told IGN that, "I have not been called about that... But, it would be very very cool to just be in the background."
Daredevil Season 2 Plans
Daredevil has been getting high praise in the early reviews that have released and that means that Season 2 could very well be a possibility. Steven DeKnight spoke to SciFi Now about what may be in store and said, “The Hand, Elektra, Bullseye… with a 13-episode arc you don’t have to rush it; you can explore. That’s not to say we are going to do Bullseye and Elektra, but it’s on the radar.”
Two New Age of Ultron TV Spots
Marvel is also continuing to promote a movie that probably does not need it in Avengers: Age of Ultron. They released two new TV Spots showing off Ultron, Thor, Black Widow, and more. Check out the TV Spots below and then screenshots from the trailers at our newly launched Facebook page.
A while back, rumors circulated that we may see the Hulk get sent into space at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now it appears that may not be the case. El Mayimbe said during his #AskElMayimbe segment on Twitter that it appears the scoop he reported way back was changed during the process of making the film. This means the Bruce Banner or the Hulk could pop up throughout Phase 3 even though he doesn't have a solo movie of his own. One cool way to keep him involved would be to have him interact with the teenage Spider-Man in the 2017 reboot. He could be a mentor to Parker or Morales and maybe even give us a chance to see the two go head to head like so many want.
Age of Ultron Character Descriptions
Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to introduce a bunch of new characters into the MCU but there are two that we know little about. Thanks to some character descriptions released by Film Police Reviews (via CBM) we have new information on Andy Serkis' Ulysses Klaue (or Klaw?) and Claudia Kim's Dr. Helen Cho. Klaue is "He is a black-market arms dealer, smuggler and gangster operating out of South Africa. He is a former acquaintance of Tony Stark’s from his weapons-dealing days and a powerful new player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe." Dr. Cho is "She is a world-renowned geneticist and an ally of The Avengers. From her offices in Seoul, South Korea, to sharing workspace with Bruce Banner in his lab at Avengers Tower, Dr. Cho’s research and technology help keep The Avengers in the fight."
Guardians 2 Will Start Production Next Year
James Gunn revealed earlier this week that he is scheduled to meet with Marvel soon to go over his screenplay and vision for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He also revealed during one of many Q&A's on Periscope that the sequel is scheduled to start production in February 2016. We already know that the core group of Guardians as well as Yondu, Nebula, and a few new faces are set to appear in the film.
