In an interview with Radio Times, he said, "Marvel is one franchise that I think is fun, because they have this great blend of humour and irony alongside the superhero element. They tend to be very satisfying films to watch. I admire them for that. I don’t care whether it’s playing in one of those as a superhero or baddie, it would just be such fun to do one."

When Marvel first announced the addition of Daniel Brühl to Captain America: Civil War, insiders in the business found that he was most likely a villain and also could appear in Doctor Strange. Now, thanks to a casting call, Brühl has been revealed to be Baron Zemo.

Rachael Taylor Joins AKA Jessica Jones

Marvel has announced that Rachael Taylor has joined the cast of AKA Jessica Jones as Patricia "Trish" Walker. Taylor joins a cast that includes Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and David Tennant (Kilgrave).

Rachael Taylor has appeared in Charlie's AngelsGrey's Anatomy, and Transformers and much more. Melissa Rosenburg, the show runner for AKA Jessica Jones, said, “The character is a star and a powerhouse, and required an actress who is both, Rachael is all that and more!”

Marvel gave Trish the following description- Trish is a syndicated radio talk show host, former model and child TV star known to her adoring fans as "Patsy" Walker. As Jessica Jones’ closest friend, Trish helps her embark on the most dangerous case of Jessica's career.

In the comics, Patricia Walker went on to become Hellcat but it is unclear if she will make that transformation on screen.

AKA Jessica Jones does not have a set release date but should start production shortly with the projected release date in late 2015 or early 2016.

Agent Carter EP 4 Review

Marvel's newest adventure has hit the midway point of the first season. As Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) works as a double agent for the SSR and Howard Stark, she has and will continue to uncover secrets that will change the world.

***** SPOILERS for "The Blitzkrieg Button" to follow *****

"The Blitzkrieg Button" picks up with the SSR banding together following the loss of Agent Ray Krzeminski. As SSR Chief Roger Dooley (Shea Whigham) places the blame on Howard Stark, the SSR investigates the stolen Stark equipment. Dooley heads to Germany to find out more about who they have been dealing with.

As the SSR investigates Howard Stark's inventions, Peggy gets a surprise visit from the man himself. He tasks her with stealing back his invention the Blitzkrieg Button. Once she has it in her hands, she discovers everything is not as it seems, thanks to some obvious tells from Jarvis.

Peggy finds that Stark has a small sample of Captain America's blood but she keeps it for herself. An assassin follows her back to her room where her neighbor Dottie shows off some unexpected moves. There is much more than meets the eye with her.

The episode itself takes a while to get in to but the second half is much stronger and delivers plot points that could prove to be very interesting and worth wild down the road.

Performance wise, Hayley Atwell was once again a star while we got to see more of Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), and Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj). Jarvis took a back seat this week but was still good in his time and a cameo by Stan Lee is always great to see.

Check out a promo for next week's episode "The Iron Ceiling" featuring the return of the Howling Commandos.

Marvel Weekly News #22

This week was the slowest in the past few weeks for Marvel. They did not announce anything officially but there was a bit of leaked and rumored news as usual. Some of the points that will be looked at more below is the possible villain of AKA Jessica Jones, new Guardians of the Galaxy info, new roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and an actor being courted by Marvel for Doctor Strange.

Jessica Jones Villain Revealed?
Now that Krysten Ritter has been cast as Jessica Jones, the production for the second Netflix show should start production soon. A.K.A. Jessica Jones does not have a set release date, but a tweet from a Marvel worker, Agent M, seemed to indicate it will come out before 2015 is done. It may have been revealed this week who the main villain Jessica will face during season 1. Some videos from auditions for the show seem to indicate that The Purple Man will be featured in the show.

Agent Carter Finishes Season 1
Marvel's Agent Carter had a one week hiatus this past week. With episode 4 premiering next week, we will hit the halfway point for the show. This week, Marvel finished filming the first season of their new hit. Hopefully the show will get renewed for a second season that could potentially be longer than 8 episodes.

Vision's Been a Plan For 3 Years
We have yet to get our first official look at Paul Bettany as Vision but just like everything at Marvel, he's been in the plans for a while. Bettany said in an interview this week that he has known about him transforming into Vision for 3 years. Marvel will likely have a TV Spot or new teaser during the Super Bowl and hopefully will give us our first look at the newest addition to the team.
Marvel Looking at Ejiofor
Even though Marvel has 3 movies sitting between them and Doctor Strange, it appears they are starting to look for more cast members to put next to Benedict Cumberbatch and possibly Daniel Brühl. This week, The Hollywood Reporter was told that Marvel is currently courting the star of 12 Years a Slave, Chiwetel Ejiofor! The role is a complete mystery but it is reportedly not a villainous role but it will be significant.

James Gunn Gives New Info in Q&A
James Gunn held a live Q&A on Facebook this week while having a simulcast viewing of Guardians of the Galaxy with fans across the world. As he shared his own thoughts on different scenes and answered fan questions, some new information became known. Here is some of the new information- 1) Gunn elaborated on the inclusion of Thanos in the film. He said that despite what previous interviews made it seem, he very much wanted Thanos in the film because he "didn't want to lose the connection to the Avengers since more people would see the movie. I also like Thanos. But he was difficult because he made the relationships to the other characters so difficult and more complicated - and he served future stories more than this one." 2) Gunn once again said he wanted more Nebula but would not say when she will return. 3) Gunn said that Ronan will not return in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 despite what Lee Pace wants, but would not rule him out entirely for returning at some point. 4) Gunn revealed that he originally planned to blow up Yondu's ship at the end of the movie by Rocket placing a bomb in the orb. He said he removed it because he knew fans would love Yondu.

Serkis's Role in Age of Ultron Confirmed
Since the first Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer when we first saw Andy Serkis's character, everyone has assumed that he will play Black Panther villain Ulysses Klaw. Now, Schmoes Know is reporting that their sources have confirmed that Serkis is playing Klaw.

New Guardian may Appear in Age of Ultron
As Schmoes Know was dropping the news about Serkis playing Klaw, they also revealed that a new female character may also pop up during the movie. If this is true, the character has strong ties to both the Avengers and the Guardians in the comics and could serve as a way to tie the cosmic side and the earth side of Marvel's universe together. According to Schmoes Know's sources, that character may be Mantis. This is the first time Mantis' name has come up for Avengers: Age of Ultron so it is an interesting report but one I would be okay with.

Marvel Weekly News #21

The Marvel machine is moving ahead at full strength. They have continued to promote their upcoming 2015 movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. They are also exploring the life of Peggy Carter in Agent Carter and have started promoting their next new adventure in Hell's Kitchen with Daredevil. This week also gave us news on new suits for War Machine and Falcon, updates/speculation on Marvel's Phase 3 and Spider-Man plans, confirmation on an Avenger appearing in Captain America: Civil War and how that movie will be "Avengers 3.8!"

Age of Ultron Trailer 2
Marvel debuted the second trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron during the College Football National Championship Game. It featured lots of new scenes, including the Hulk vs Hulkbuster fight. If you haven't seen the trailer, or just want to see it again, you can watch it here along with an analysis of the new footage.

Agent Carter EP 3
The life of Peggy Carter after the death of Captain America is continuing to be explored. This week episode 3 of Agent Carter debuted and maintained the good elements from the premiere. Check out our full review of EP 3.
Daredevil Law Office
Last week we got a release date and moving poster for the first exclusive Marvel show on Netflix in Daredevil. Now, Marvel has given us a small glimpse of the day job of Matthew Murdock. Hopefully this means that an actual trailer is on the horizon, especially considering we are less than 3 months away from its release.

War Machine and Falcon Getting New Looks
We have known for quite some time that Rhodey (Don Cheadle) would be in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but his role a mystery. It appears that he will have a decent amount of screen time and that he is ditching the Iron Patriot armor in favor of Mark 2 of the War Machine armor. The image above shows the new armor that Rhodey may wear this summer. He is not the only one getting some new gear. This week Anthony Mackie told Hollywood Chicago that there will be a new Falcon suit in Captain America: Civil War. "The new falcon suit is gonna be much better than the old Falcon suit; gotta rebuild," he said.

Updates on Phase 3 and Spider-Man
Marvel will finish Phase 2 of their cinematic universe this year but everyone's eyes and thoughts are on Phase 3. Dave Gonzalez of Latino-Review has laid out what he has gathered on Marvel's Phase 3 plans. I'm going to give the short version below but you can check it all out here. Obviously, if this information is true, it could be major SPOILERS for all Phase 3 movies. To avoid SPOILERS, skip this section starting now.......... Still with me? Okay. Avengers: Age of Ultron will end with two separate Avengers teams led by Captain America and Iron Man respectively, while Banner may still be launched into space. Captain America: Civil War will focus on the revelation that Bucky killed Stark's parents. It will end like the comics with Crossbones killing Cap. Doctor Strange may end with Strange becoming the new leader of Cap's Avenger team. Thor: Ragnarok will end with the imprisonment of Thor, though where that will be is a mystery. Black Panther may focus on gathering heroes together to form a new Avengers team, probably a combination of the teams. As for Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, there will be no Thor, Stark, Banner, or Cap but it will introduce SPIDER-MAN! According to their sources, the deal is basically done between Sony and Marvel. The "New Avengers" will be featured in Part 1 so that the original Avengers team can all return in Part 2.

Ant-Man Website
Marvel has launched their website for Ant-Man that features photos, trailers, and more info. Check it out at http://marvel.com/antman.

Black Widow Confirmed for Civil War
The Russo brothers are coming back to direct Captain America: Civil War. Now they have revealed that Scarlett Johansson will indeed reprise her role as Black Widow in the film. This means that she will not die in Avengers: Age of Ultron as some have speculated.

Civil War is "Avengers 3.8"
Anthony Mackie has been talking to the press a lot recently promoting an upcoming film of his. During an interview with WTTG Fox 5, Mackie called Captain America: Civil War "Avengers 3.8." After learning that Widow will return along, the movie will now feature Iron Man, Captain America, Falcon, Black Panther, and Black Widow. If it really is Avengers 3.8, expect many more announcements of heroes, such as Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, etc., appearing.

Old Friends Appearing in Agent Carter EP 5
In Captain America: The First Avenger, the Howling Commandos became fan favorite characters. With Agent Carter, Marvel has a way to bring some of those familiar faces back. They announced this week that Dum Dum Dugan and the rest of the Howling Commandos will return in EP 5 of Agent Carter, "The Iron Ceiling."
