Tony Stark (Iron Man)

Tony Stark is a genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist who was taken capture by The Ten Rings at the request of Obadiah Stane. The kidnapping left him badly injured and shards of an explosive floating through his blood. Stark escaped by building the very first Iron Man suit, powered by his new arc reactor. He has since built multiple suits, all with a different functionality. He was recruited by Nick Fury to help form the Avengers. After he helped defeat Aldrich Killian, he destroyed his suits and removed the shrapnel from his chest. With SHIELD gone, Stark provides the money to provide the team with the necessary gear they need to save the world.

Steve Rogers (Captain America)

Steve Rogers was a scrawny man until he joined the army and became the first super soldier during World War II. He defeated the Red Skull but had to crash a plane full of bombs into the arctic to save the world. He was presumed dead but was found by SHIELD over 60 years later. He joined the Avengers and as Captain America, he is the leader of the team. He helped take down HYDRA after they took over SHIELD and set out to find his brainwashed friend Bucky.

Thor Odinson

Thor is the god of thunder and a native of Asgard. He protects the nine realms with his favorite hammer, Mjolnir, and is one of the most powerful people in the universe with it in his hand. He has saved Earth three times, twice from Loki and once from Malekith, and now lives on the planet to be with his girlfriend Jane Foster.

Bruce Banner (Hulk)

Bruce Banner was a leading scientist in gamma radiation until he tested one of his experiments on himself. Now, he becomes a giant green monster known as The Hulk when he becomes angry. He is a full-time member of the Avengers. When he is not saving the world, he and his science bro Tony Stark work on new inventions and technology.

Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow)

Natasha Romanoff was trained as a young girl to become an assassin by the Black Widow program. She built a dark reputation and SHIELD sent Hawkeye to kill her, but he decided to recruit her instead. She became a member of the Avengers when they were formed and continued to work for SHIELD, until it fell. Now she is hiding after her many secret identities were compromised.

Clint Barton (Hawkeye)

Clint Barton is a trained fighter and uses his bow and specialty arrows to take down his enemies. He worked for SHIELD until it collapsed but is also a member of the Avengers. Loki turned him into his minion during his attack on New York but he eventually regained control.

Nick Fury

Nick Fury was a soldier in his younger days and worked his way up to becoming the director of SHIELD. He was behind the Avengers Initiative and formed a team of Earth's mightiest heroes. He faked his own death when HYDRA took over SHIELD and has gone his own way to take down what remains of HYDRA. He appointed Phil Coulson the new director of SHIELD and gave him all the information he would need to rebuild the secret organization.

Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch)

Wanda Maximoff volunteered to experimentation by Baron Von Strucker thanks to her hatred towards Tony Stark. Strucker used Loki's staff to give Wanda powers and she now has the ability to change reality, telekinesis, and more. She is still learning how to use and control her new powers as well as what she should do with them. She will choose her side in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver)

Pietro Maximoff volunteered to experimentation by Baron Von Struker thanks to his hatred towards Tony Stark. Strucker used Loki's staff to give him the power of super speed. He is still learning how to use and control his new power as well as what he should do with them. He will choose his side in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ultron

Ultron is an old artificial intelligence program that Tony Stark finds after the Battle of New York. Ultron thinks he needs to correct the world and that eliminating the Avengers is the best way to do that. He continually upgrades his robotic body so that he can achieve what he wants. He will take on the Avengers when he joins the MCU in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Vision
  • Played by Paul Bettany
  • Appeared In

Vision is another artificial intelligence program but who creates him is unknown. He is powered by a gem in his forehead and has the ability to change his density, fly, and more. He differs from Ultron as he has a sense of morality which will ultimately have him end up helping the Avengers battle Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron.


Baron Von Strucker

Baron Von Strucker is the final head of HYDRA. He gained access to Loki's staff and has been using it to experiment on human beings and give them super powers. He was unsuccessful until he stumbled upon the Maximoff twins. He will try to use them to his advantage in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Maria Hill

Maria Hill was Nick Fury's second in command while he ran SHIELD. She was not supportive of his decisions at first but eventually came to understand and trust him. Following SHIELD's collapse, she began working for Tony Stark at Stark Industries.

Ulysses Klaw

Klaw is a black-market arms dealer, smuggler and gangster operating out of South Africa. He is a former acquaintance of Tony Stark’s from his weapons-dealing days and a powerful new player in the MCU. In the comics, he also has a strong connection to Wakanda and Black Panther. He is set to debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron when it is released on May 1, 2015.

Helen Cho

Cho is a world-renowned geneticist and an ally of The Avengers. From her offices in Seoul, South Korea, to sharing workspace with Bruce Banner in his lab at Avengers Tower, Dr. Cho’s research and technology will help keep The Avengers in the fight. She is set to debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron when it is released on May 1, 2015.

Phil Coulson

Phil Coulson was the man to originally start forming the Avengers. He recruited Iron Man and Thor and has a big man crush on Captain America. He tried to stop Loki from attacking New York but Loki ended up killing him. Fury initiated Project TAHITI to save Coulson's life and bring him back from the dead. He is now the director of SHIELD and is always looking for more agents.

Loki

Loki was just a frost giant baby when Odin rescued him after he defeated the race. He is a prince of Asgard but was always jealous of Thor. He possesses magic abilities and is very mischievous using them. He attacked Earth using the help of the Chitauri and helped Thor defeat Malekith. He faked his death and is now posing as Odin and ruling over Asgard.

Thanos

Thanos is one of the most powerful men in the universe. He comes from Titan and is after the Infinity Gauntlet and the 6 Infinity Stones that power them. He has used Loki and Ronan as his minions while he waits to make his attack but they have both been unsuccessful so far. He will continue to increase his efforts to get the stones leading up to Avengers: Infinity War.

Erik Selvig

Erik Selvig helped Jane Foster with her research of the universe. He joined SHIELD to help them understand the Tesseract but was put under a spell by Loki to help him bring the Chitauri to Earth. He has since gotten a little crazy but helped Thor stop Malekith in London.

Pepper Potts

Pepper Potts was Tony Stark's longtime assistant until the two struck up a romantic relationship. She was appointed the CEO of Stark Industries when Stark thought he was going to die. Aldrich Killian kidnapped her and injected her with Extremis, but Tony was able to get it out of her. She now lives with Tony inside of Avengers Tower.
