Marvel Weekly News #15

This was a busy and exciting week for Marvel. This week's long post includes news on Daredevil,Avengers: Infinity WarAgent CarterAgents of SHIELDAnt-ManAvengers: Age of UltronJessica JonesLuke Cage, and Doctor Strange.

Daredevil's "Probably" More than 1 Season
Steven DeKnight, the executive producer for the upcoming Daredevil Netflix series has been answering fan questions on twitter recently. Early in the week a fan asked if we will get more than just one season of the show. DeKnight responded by saying he is not sure but there probably will be more seasons. Make sure to watch the show when it debuts on Netflix in 2015!

Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2 Shooting Back to Back
Reports came this week courtesy of The Daily Mail that Marvel is planning on shooting both parts of Avengers: Infinity War back to back. The report claims that they will start shooting the films near the end of 2015. It is unclear why Marvel would start shooting the films in 2015 when the first part does not come out till 2018. What this does mean is that Marvel has locked down or is close to locking down the actors and actresses they need. Our theory is it will give the likes of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr time off from Marvel if they are done shooting the movies on their current contracts by the end of 2016 or early 2017. This could make the stars more likely to come back for Phase 4 if they get an extended amount of time off now.

Agent Carter Gets Two Hour Premiere
Marvel announced this week that they will debut the first two episodes of Agent Carter on January 6, 2015. This means that we will get seven straight weeks of Peggy Carter in her full glory before returning for the second half of season 2 for Agents of SHIELD.

Agents of SHIELD Season 2 Episode 9
With the first part of the sophomore season coming to a close next week, Marvel used the ninth episode to set up what should be a game changing mid-season finale. Read our full review of the episode here.

Ant-Man Roles Described
Judy Greer has been a mystery casting much like the rest of the Ant-Man cast for some time now. In an interview with HeyUGuys, Greer revealed that she will be playing the ex-wife of Scott Lang.

Evangeline Lilly has been making the press rounds to promote The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. She has been getting asked questions about her role on Ant-Man as Hope Van Dyne. In an interview with BuzzFeed, Lilly said "you know, Janet Van Dyne is my mom. Hank Pym is my father. I was raised by two superheroes. I’m no schlump. I’m a pretty smart, competent, capable, kick-ass female. She’s very cool.”

Ant-Man Finishes Filming
Over the last few weeks, the stars of Ant-Man have announced that some of them have finished filming. Yesterday, director Peyton Reed announced that the entire film and cast has finished principle photography. He also said in a tweet that we should stay tuned for more news. Hopefully we get some character names or the suit reveal soon.
Age of Ultron Promotional Art Reveals Vision
Paul Bettany will make the transformation from Tony Stark's AI Jarvis to a superhero in his own right. He will become the Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron and this week we got a great look at what he will look like courtesy of some promotional art a fan posted a picture of on Instagram.

Ritter is most famous for her roles in Breaking Bad and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23. The Netflix original series A.K.A. Jessica Jones will debut sometime in 2015 and have 13 episodes.

Marvel Eyes Colter for Cage
Deadline broke the news that Ritter would become Jessica Jones but they also got insight as to who Marvel is looking at for Luke Cage. According to their report, Marvel is eyeing Mike Colter to become Luke Cage. Luke Cage will likely debut on Netflix in 2016.
