Agents of SHIELD Season 2 EP 3 Review

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD has been an up and down roller coaster since the show premiered last fall. After the first two episodes of this season seemed to show an improved story and characters, even with diminishing ratings, many people expected this week's episode to continue on that trend.

While this episode was good, in parts, it did not live up to recent episodes. "Making Friends and Influencing People" was jumbled to say the least. Introducing Agent 33 in the beginning, bringing back Simmons and Donnie Gill, and a storyline that did not progress many aspects of pre-existing stories are just a small sample of the many things jammed into this episode.

As mentioned in past reviews, Fitz continues to deliver the best moments of the show. I cannot say enough about how good Iain de Caestecker has been, especially this season. His scene this week where he finds Ward in the basement of The Playground was phenomenal. Dylan Minnette also delivered what I thought was a strong performance as Donnie Gill.

This week's episode also has hit a new series low in TV ratings according to reports. If you enjoyed this week's episode and Agents of SHIELD  as a whole, spread the word to friends, family, and strangers!
