Marvel Weekly News #28

The Avengers have taken full priority for Marvel. After announcing a new trailer was set to release on Thursday, they surprised the world by giving us a chance to unlock it early, and it didn't take very long. The new trailer gave lots of new footage but that was not the only news on the Marvel front. James Gunn stated what new character we will see in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, we got our first look at Wilson Fisk, and new character posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron along side the trailer. We also found out who might direct and write the new Spider-Man franchise, Mike Colter talked about Luke Cage, and Agents of SHIELD had a very inhuman return. Read more about each of these below!

Gunn's Favorite Guardian Set for Debut
We've known since Comic-Con that the space adventure known as Guardians of the Galaxy would be getting a sequel and that the main cast will all be returning. As he normally does, director James Gunn spent time this week answering fan questions about Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He revealed that his favorite character will be making his/her debut in the sequel. Who is that character? We will have to wait and see. Gunn also stated that he would love for Al Pacino to join the movie, which is interesting since Pacino was rumored to have a meeting with Marvel last year.
Marvel Shows Off Wilson Fisk
We are just over a month away from Daredevil's release on Netflix and Marvel has started promoting their first Netflix original show. This week, they gave us our first full look at Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio). Fisk will be the main villain Matthew Murdock (Charlie Cox) has to face in season 1.

Hawkeye and Cap Get Character Posters
Last week, Marvel started releasing solo character posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron giving us Iron Man, Hulk, and then Thor, Black Widow, and Nick Fury. This week, they gave us two more with Hawkeye and Captain America getting the posters above. There may be more posters on the way as we get closer to the release.
Goddard Will Take on Spider-Man
After Sony and Marvel agreed to share Spider-Man, fans wanted to know who would be the director and also who could be the new hero. We made our list of 5 actors we would like to see, but it appears they may have found the writer and director. Read more about Drew Goddard reportedly joining the franchise here.
Colter Talks Luke Cage
Even though Mike Colter will have to wait over a year till he leads Luke Cage, his own Netflix show, he is set to co-star in AKA Jessica Jones alongside Jessica Jones herself Krysten Ritter. This week he talked to IGN about the role and you can read the highlights here.

Agents of SHIELD Returns
Marvel's Agents of SHIELD returned this week and started the show down the inhuman path. The sophomore season has been fantastic and looks well on its way for many more seasons. Should the show continue, Marvel will need more ideas to fill the winter break so we helped them out with 8 potential ideas. If you watched EP 11, check out our review and share your thoughts on the episode as well!
Age of Ultron Trailer 3
If you haven't already, above is the third and probably final trailer we get for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The trailer gave us more Hulkbuster vs Hulk action, Ultron gathering his massive army, and a small glimpse at Paul Bettany's Vision. You can see some screenshots from the trailer on our Twitter page.
