Cast of Daredevil Provide New Information at Premiere

The first exclusive Marvel series is set to hit Netflix in less than a week now and Marvel is making sure everyone knows it. Marvel hosted a premiere on Thursday night where they debuted the first two episodes of the series to the cast, celebrities, and select members of the media.

This event gave reporters a chance to talk to the majority of the cast and ask them about their roles and experiences on Daredevil.

AfterBuzz TV got the chance to talk Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Toby Leonard Moore (Wesley), Peter Shinkoda (Nobu), and more. Here are some of the highlights-

Charlie Cox talked about his excitement for the role by saying, “It’s such a childhood dream you know. Who wouldn’t want to play a Marvel superhero given the opportunity, and I never thought that that opportunity would come to me, so you know I’m still kind of like ‘Wow, what a great job to go to work to.’” He also does not want to leave the MCU anytime soon, “The thought of being a part of Marvel and Marvel Netflix long-term is very exciting to me. So I hope it lasts.”

Rosario Dawson was also very vocal about her excitement to be in Daredevil, "I’ve been wanting to be a part of the Marvel Universe for many, many, many years and to be in it and re-writing history is kind of amazing.”

Deborah Ann Woll will get to know the crime fighter very well but may help him as well, “I think Karen kicks butt with her brain. She doesn’t have superpowers in this one, I don’t get to play that part of it, but she’s super smart, crazy determined, and she kind of grabs on to something and won’t let go till she gets what she needs.”

Even though Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin will be the main villain Daredevil faces, there will certainly be more. Peter Shinkoda hinted at the possibility of having ties to The Hand and said, “I’m gonna give Daredevil a hard time… I do work alongside Kingpin.” Toby Leonard Moore will be the right hand man to Kingpin but said his character, Wesley, should not be overlooked. “He can go from zero to one hundred like that [snaps finger], from being absolutely charming to completely manipulative in a very scary way.”

Daredevil will also have a presence in the MCU, not only what has happened, but affecting the future. Toby Leonard Moore said, “There will certainly be a reaction. The other thing that makes Daredevil different from all other superheroes movies, is that he’s not essentially a superhero. He’s a regular guy.”
