Marvel Weekly News #32

It's been another busy week in the MCU as we are now less than one week away from Daredevil debuting on Netflix and less than a month till Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters and Marvel is doing everything they can to promote the two properties. This week we got a few trailers and posters for Daredevil while learning more about the cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron, two more TV spots, and IMAX posters. We also got new and unused concept art from Guardians of the Galaxy, a showrunner for Luke Cage, a new episode of Agents of SHIELD as well as new promos for future episodes. There was also an update on who may appear in Captain America: Civil War, what is going to happen to the Hulk, and when Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will start production. Get more information on all of these below!
Concept Art Shows Unused Guardians Character
Marvel found themselves a brand new hit in Guardians of the Galaxy last summer. As with every movie, Marvel had various artists do concept art for the characters in the film. Thomas Nelson updated his library with concept art and it revealed an unused character. The character above is Tantalus, or known as Lord Tantalus in the comics. Even though he was not featured in the movie, it is possible he may appear in two years when Guardians of the Galaxy 2 hits theaters. Check out more of Thomas Nelson's Guardians of the Galaxy concept art thanks to Comicbook.com!
Daredevil Character Posters Released
As we near the debut of Daredevil on Netflix, Marvel and Netflix have been releasing promotional materials for the series for the past few days. Earlier this week, they released character posters for the main characters of the series that combined to make the banner above.

Age of Ultron IMAX Poster
If you are planning on seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron in IMAX 3D on opening day at midnight, then you will be receiving one of the above posters. Marvel is letting us, the fans, vote for which of the above posters we will receive. In order to vote for one of the above posters, you must go on Twitter and use the hashtag for the appropriate poster. Here are the hastags in order of the posters above from left to right- #AvengersLastHope, #AvengersUnite, #UltronUnleashed, and #UltronNoStrings.
Luke Cage Find a Showrunner
With Daredevil almost being ready for release and AKA Jessica Jones in the middle of production, Marvel has started focusing on Luke Cage, which may be the next Netflix exclusive series. They announced this week that Cheo Hodari Coker has signed on to be the executive producer and showrunner for the series. Read more about the announcement here.
Agents of SHIELD EP's 15 and 16
The two factions of SHIELD collided this past week in Agents of SHIELD. In "One Door Closes," the "Real SHIELD" infiltrates Coulson's base as Skye gets help from her other Inhumans. Read our full review of EP 15 here. Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg also spent time early in the week talking about the future of the show at Emerald City Comic-Con, read the highlights here.

Daredevil Trailers
Marvel has released an abundance of new trailers to build up the hype for Daredevil. The first trailer shows the rise of the first defender (which can be seen here) and then Netflix released two more trailers which can be seen here and here. The first two episodes premiered on Thursday and gave the cast the opportunity to talk about the show. Read the highlights from the interviews here.

Age of Ultron Adds Two Mystery Females
The premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron is quickly approaching and that means some more information has started to become available. They sent out a press tip sheet that revealed two new cast members. Julie Delpy and Linda Cardellini. This set the internet on fire with speculation that one of them could be Carol Danvers. Superhero News went on record saying Cardellini is not a superhero and just a small supporting role. Then, El Mayimbe of Latino-Review said that one these two ladies has ties to Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) but that he didn't want to spoil a surprise for the fans.

Daredevil Yet to Be Called For Civil War
After Ultron wrecks the MCU, we will get Ant-Man before what should be another game changing film in Captain America: Civil War. We already know that Iron Man, Cap, Black Widow, Falcon, Winter Soldier, and probably Hawkeye and Crossbones will appear but there will certainly be more. Charlie Cox told IGN that, "I have not been called about that... But, it would be very very cool to just be in the background."

Daredevil Season 2 Plans
Daredevil has been getting high praise in the early reviews that have released and that means that Season 2 could very well be a possibility. Steven DeKnight spoke to SciFi Now about what may be in store and said, “The Hand, Elektra, Bullseye… with a 13-episode arc you don’t have to rush it; you can explore. That’s not to say we are going to do Bullseye and Elektra, but it’s on the radar.”

Two New Age of Ultron TV Spots
Marvel is also continuing to promote a movie that probably does not need it in Avengers: Age of Ultron. They released two new TV Spots showing off Ultron, Thor, Black Widow, and more. Check out the TV Spots below and then screenshots from the trailers at our newly launched Facebook page.
Has the Hulk's Fate Changed? (Possible SPOILERS)
A while back, rumors circulated that we may see the Hulk get sent into space at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now it appears that may not be the case. El Mayimbe said during his #AskElMayimbe segment on Twitter that it appears the scoop he reported way back was changed during the process of making the film. This means the Bruce Banner or the Hulk could pop up throughout Phase 3 even though he doesn't have a solo movie of his own. One cool way to keep him involved would be to have him interact with the teenage Spider-Man in the 2017 reboot. He could be a mentor to Parker or Morales and maybe even give us a chance to see the two go head to head like so many want.

Age of Ultron Character Descriptions
Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to introduce a bunch of new characters into the MCU but there are two that we know little about. Thanks to some character descriptions released by Film Police Reviews (via CBM) we have new information on Andy Serkis' Ulysses Klaue (or Klaw?) and Claudia Kim's Dr. Helen Cho. Klaue is "He is a black-market arms dealer, smuggler and gangster operating out of South Africa. He is a former acquaintance of Tony Stark’s from his weapons-dealing days and a powerful new player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe." Dr. Cho is "She is a world-renowned geneticist and an ally of The Avengers. From her offices in Seoul, South Korea, to sharing workspace with Bruce Banner in his lab at Avengers Tower, Dr. Cho’s research and technology help keep The Avengers in the fight."

Guardians 2 Will Start Production Next Year
James Gunn revealed earlier this week that he is scheduled to meet with Marvel soon to go over his screenplay and vision for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. He also revealed during one of many Q&A's on Periscope that the sequel is scheduled to start production in February 2016. We already know that the core group of Guardians as well as Yondu, Nebula, and a few new faces are set to appear in the film.
